Saee Shetye learnt under Guru Dr Sandhya Purecha (chairperson of Sangeet Natak Akademi) from Mumbai for the initial 10 years at her institution  Kala Parichay. She pursued her Bachelors and Masters in Bharatanatyam under Guru Dr. Sucheta Chapekar at the Centre for Performing Arts, SPPU, Pune. She has been learning finer nuances of Bharatanatyam under Guru Dr. Parimal Phadke since 2007. 

Winner of Vedic Heritage Classical Dance Competition in New York in 2008, recipient of the title “Singarmani” from Sur Singar Samsad in 2009, recipient of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) from UGC on the basis of NET (National Eligibility Test) in 2010, received the Junior Research fellowship from CCRT (Centre for Cultural Resources and Training) in 2018. 

Besides being a prolific dancer and teacher, Saee is a prolific writer, her flourishing pen expresses life’s challenges in it’s entirety. Saee has been a regular visiting faculty for Centre for Performing Arts, SPPU, Flame University etc.
